RX RING GASKET

RX gaskets are designed for pressures up to 5,000 PSl. Thesegaskets are manufactured in accordance to APl 6A and ASMEB16.20,and theyinterchangeable with R-oval or R-octagonalrings used on APl6B flanges.The RXis a pressure energizedversion of the R octagonal gasket and fits the R type flat bottomedgroove.The RX has an increased height and utilises the internalsystem pressure to energise and improve the seal as internalpressureincreases.Some RX sizes have a pressure relief hole toequalize pressure both sides of the sealing faces.
